RFM Accredited Diploma in Obstetrics Training Provider On 18 September 2009 RFM Hospital celebrated achieving accreditation to train medical officers in Diploma’s in Obstetrics. Making it the only approved training facility in Swaziland. “The Hospital is very proud of this accreditation,” said Madam Futhi, the CEO. “It is something we would not have been able to achieve without the quality improvement assistance we have received from the Ministry of Health”, she went on to say. The training program, which is completed over six months, is administered by College of Medicine South Africa (CMSA). Facilitators at RFM oversee both the theoretical and practical components of the course, but exams are assessed through CMSA. “It means doctors in Swaziland do not have to go out of the country for further education in Obstetrics”, said Dr Bitchong, the Chief Medical Officer.
