Community Health Clinics
The 17 Nazarene Community Health Clinics operate in all four regions of Swaziland; Manzini, Hhohho, Lubombo and Shiselweni. The Clinics provide primary health care services, including; maternal and child health, immunisations, voluntary counseling and testing (VCT), prevention of mother to child transmission (PMTCT), and anti-retroviral therapy (ART) services for people living in the rural areas. Patients who are in a more serious condition are referred to the nearest hospital for further treatment. The clinics serve a total population of approximately 300,000 people living within the various respective catchment areas.
A doctor from the Raleigh Fitkin Memorial visits each of the clinics regularly to examine patients and provide follow-up on ART. The clinics are an integral part of the national public health care system and provide HIV/AIDS mitigation programs including; PMTCT, VCT, ART and a supplementary food program sponsored by World Food Program (WFP).
